Vachanamrut Essence
Gadhadā II-39
- Shriji Mahārāj speaks about His own natural virtues for the sake of revealing the ideals of a devotee:
- He does not harbour any desires for panchvishays.
- Regardless of how much pravrutti He is involved in, He still experiences profound bliss within.
- He has a very strong conviction that God possesses a divine form and is the all-doer.
- He becomes pleased only when He sees a genuine devotee of God and is only comfortable with such a person.
- The senior devotees must absolutely observe the vow of non-lust, because the example set by the seniors is what is followed by everyone else.
- The essence of the tenth canto of the Shrimad Bhāgwat: God that is mentioned in the scriptures if the very manifest God before you.
- The essence of the fifth canto of the Shrimad Bhāgwat:
- One should understand the greatness of the manifest form of God.
- God assumes different forms [murtis] to bestow bliss upon His devotees.
- One should abide by the niyams prescribed by God.
- By narrating or listening to the divine incidents of God, one attains the highest state of enlightenment.
- By believing God to be formless, one incurs a sin greater than the five grave sins.
- If a person who realises God to possess a form with firm conviction happens to commit a sin, by the grace of God, all of those sins will be burnt and his jiva will attain God.
