Vachanamrut Essence
Gadhadā II-47
- A sādhu aspiring for liberation [mumukshu sādhu]:
- The more he is made upset or vishays denounced, he increasingly becomes overjoyed and perceives virtues.
- He eradicates his impure desires by the profound association with the Sant.
- He bears only one wish: To become brahmarup and attain God’s abode.
- A sādhu who has desires for vishays:
- He remains with a senior sādhu due to the temptation of enjoying vishays.
- He should be considered like a wretched person or like a dog.
- He is worse than one who has committed the five grave sins.
- Just as if the earth that has been split down to Pātāl can never be filled with water; similarly, the indriyas have never become satisfied by the vishays, and they never will be.
- The renunciants and householders should mutually understand the greatness of each other.
