Gadhadā II-56

1. Only his love for God is true who never develops love for anything other than God.
2. The essence of all the scriptures:

1. God is the sole source of eternal bliss and the supreme essence of everything.
2. Excluding God, all other objects are absolutely worthless and totally unsubstantial.

3. Just as a lightly dyed cloth is ruined if it gets wet; similarly, one who has love for God encounters bad company, he will not remain stable.
4. To please God:

1. Discard panchvishays.
2. Abandon affection for objects other than God.
