Vachanamrut Essence

Amdāvād-3

  1. Even if the roots of a banyan tree, except for minor roots, are uprooted, the tree remains green. Similarly, one may have outwardly renounced the panchvishays, but if thoughts of them are entertained, then those thoughts become a cause of births and deaths.
  2. For one who has attained the state of upsham, the panchvishays do not become a cause of births and deaths.
  3. Methods of attaining the state of upsham:
  1. Main method: meditating upon God after ātmā-realisation.
  2. Understanding the greatness of God.
  3. Doing darshan of God and serving Him and His Bhakta with extremely intense shraddhā.
  1. God is pleased with one who serves him humbly.
  2. Even if one does not have wisdom and understanding, yet has an intense yearning for liberation, then he still knows how to do whatever pleases God.
