Vachanamrut Essence

Gadhadā III-7

  1. God and His Sādhu:
  1. Nothing in this world is more blissful than them.
  2. One should profoundly attach one’s self to them.
  3. One should remain absolutely loyal to them.
  4. One should not develop an aversion to them.
  5. One should not have as much affection towards one’s body or bodily relations as one has towards them.
  1. For a devotee who behaves in this manner [as described in 1a-1e], even extremely powerful enemies such lust, anger, etc., are unable to defeat him.
  2. In God’s abode Akshardhām:
  1. God possesses a definite form.
  2. Devotees of God, who also possess a form, remain in His service.
  1. Devotees who have taken firm refuge in the manifest form of God:
  1. Just as an iron nail that is firmly affixed to an iron surface can never be separated, similarly, their mind should be fixed firmly at the holy feet of God.
  2. They does not have to die to attain the abode of God - they have attained it while still alive.
  3. They attain God’s abode after they discard their physical body.
  4. They should not harbour the following fear in one’s mind: ‘What if I become a ghost or an evil spirit, or attain the realm of Indra or the realm of Brahmā after I die?’
