Vachanamrut Essence
Jetalpur-3
- If one harbours impure desires, then one cannot experience the bliss of God even while staying near him.
- Methods to eradicate impure desires:
- Repeatedly chanting God’s name aloud.
- Performing bhakti of God with the knowledge of his greatness and while observing dharma.
- Not infringing the five religious vows knowingly; and if infringed unknowingly, then atoning for that sin immediately.
- Believing that “I am the ātmā, distinct from the body.”
- Not developing an aversion to the divine actions of God.
- One should do that which pleases God:
- There is nothing greater than this.
- That is itself bhakti.
- Only then one can attain God.
- To worship God with remembrance of the manifest form of God is equal to actually having the darshan of God.
- Characteristics of one who is great in Satsang:
- Has vairāgya in which he considers all 14 realms to be insignificant.
- He has firm conviction of the manifest form of God.
- He is oblivious to the world in the waking state just as he is during the state of deep sleep.
