Gadhadā I-33

1. The greatest endeavour to please God is firm refuge of God.
2. Refuge is of three types:

1. Blind faith: even if someone such as Brahmā were to attempt to deflect him from his refuge, he would not be deflected.
2. Profound love for God: one does not become attracted to any object other than God.
3. Understanding:

1. Understanding God’s form by utilising one’s intelligence.
2. He does not harbour doubts when God, assuming a human form, exhibits divine powers or acts powerless.
3. If someone tries to dissuade him, or even if he tries to dissuade himself, such a refuge never diminishes.
