Vachanamrut Essence

Sārangpur-3

  1. If a person lovingly performs puja of God emotionally and with love, then physical puja and mānsi pujā are both superior; if puja is performed without any emotions or love, then both physical puja and mānsi pujā are inferior.
  2. Characteristics of one who performs physical puja or mānsi pujā with overwhelming love:
  1. He has intense shraddhā in performing the puja of God and serving Him, in listening to discourses and talks related to God, and in singing devotional songs.
  2. He also understands the profound greatness of God.
  3. With each passing day, his shraddhā and understanding of God’s greatness remain ever fresh, but never diminish.
  1. Shravan, manan, nididhyās and sākshātkār:
  1. Shravan: listening to discourses of God through the ears.
  2. Manan: having heard the talks, mentally pondering over the talk and retaining that which should be retained and discarding the rest.
  3. Nididhyās: recalling the talks that were pondered over day and night.
  4. Sākshātkār: recalling that talk exactly as it was - as if it were manifest before one - with absolute clarity and spontaneity.
  1. The sākshātkār of the ātmā and Paramātmā:
  1. Can only occur by doing shravan, manan, and nididhyās.
  2. If one does darshan and shravan without manan and nididhyās for the rest of one’s life, one will not attain sākshātkār.
