Gadhada II-54: Satsang Is the Greatest Spiritual Endeavour; A ‘Gokhar’; Profound Attachment

Mahima

30 June 1968, Gondal. After having Vachanāmrut Gadhadā II-54 read during the afternoon discourse, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “If many Vachanāmruts are or are not perfected, but if this particular Vachanāmrut is perfected, then it is enough.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 5/158]

Nirupan

May 1954, Gondal. At the Akshar Deri, Yogiji Mahārāj had Vachanāmruts Gadhadā II-51, II-53 and II-54 read and said, “The jiva is not able to look at itself and think, ‘What am I like?’ It is ignorant in this way. Yet, it still finds faults in the actions of the Motā-Purush. It is the king of fools. Therefore, keep divyabhāv and nirdoshbhāv in even the most trivial of Satpurush’s actions. Such understanding is only possible if one develops ātmabuddhi towards the Satpurush.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 1/490]

Nirupan

June 30, 1968, Gondal. During the afternoon discourse, Yogiji Mahārāj had Vachanāmrut Gadhadā II-54 read and said, “What is ātmabuddhi? To give a devotee of God your food. To eagerly follow any command that he gives. If one has ātmabuddhi, then he gains strength. One remains elated. His commands are followed. If you eat, does hunger go or remain?

“This Vachanāmrut Gadhadā II-54 relates to that. If one does not have such ātmabuddhi, one would be called a donkey or a bullock. If called that, he would be offended and would stop coming to the mandir. However, that is written in the [Shrimad] Bhāgwat. Other Vachanāmruts may be mastered or not, but if this one is, then that is sufficient. A horse rider keeps his focus on three things. Similarly, we should keep our focus on removing grains of sand from wheat. Listen to discourses and remove these grains of sand.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 5/120]
