Gadhada I-15: Not Becoming Discouraged in Meditation
Summary
- A person whose heart is filled with bhakti:
- He has courage such that, whatever Bhagwan and Sant commands, he acts according to those commands.
- He never mistakenly believes or says: I will only be able to obey certain commands but not others.
- One who behaves in the following manner is called an ekāntik bhakta:
- When meditating on the murti of Bhagwan daily, he does so with renewed faith and courage.
- He does not become discouraged [while meditating], even if it takes 100 years to behold the form of God.
- If he has disturbing thoughts while beholding God’s form and he cannot suppress them:
- He understands the immense glory of God.
- He believes himself to be completely fulfilled.
- He falsifies his disturbing thoughts.
- He does not give up meditating on the form of God.
