Gadhada II-35: The Underground Store of Grains
Summary
- Only by meditating on God can one attain ātmā-realisation.
- The reason for developing ātmā-realisation is so one does not harbour any love for one’s body or their relatives and so there are no hindrances in the bhakti of God.
- It is not possible to attain liberation by ātmā-realisation or dharma alone.
- Regardless of how much a person may have mastered samādhi, or how thoughtful the person may be, if men and women begin to stay closely together, there is no way their dharma will remain.
- The upāsanā of the manifest form of God, listening to and narrating the divine incidents of God, and chanting His holy name:
- If one stays within his dharma along with the aforementioned three attributes:
- The jiva goes to God’s abode at the end of his life.
- He will remain peaceful even during times of physical misery.
- If one does not stay within his dharma, then his liberation is impossible.
- One should listen to and sing the devotional songs and poems written by Muktānand Swāmi and other sādhus.
- Shriji Mahārāj delivered this discourse for our liberation; therefore, by behaving accordingly, He will be extremely pleased.
