Gadhada III-17: The Story of Bharatji
Summary
- Bharatji went to the forest to worship God, where he developed affection for a deer. Consequently, he had to be born as a deer in his next life. Therefore, developing affection for anyone other than God is an extremely grave sin.
- In his third birth, he behaved as a madman so that he would not develop affection to anyone except God. He fixed in vrutti continuously on God. One should be fearful in the same manner such that they do not develop affection to anyone except God.
