Gadhada III-30: Constant Awareness of Five Thoughts
Summary
- For the sake of revealing the ideals of a devotee, Shriji Mahārāj talks about what he likes:
- He likes one who worships and offers bhakti to God with the firm conviction that God, forever possessing a form, resides in his abode Akshardhām.
- He likes one who engages in spiritual endeavours in order to please God without any form of pretentiousness.
- For the liberation of His devotees, Shriji Mahārāj reveals His constant awareness of five thoughts:
- At this second, at this very moment, I will die and leave this body.
- The thought that, even though death is certain, this much work has already been accomplished and this much work is left, which I would like to complete.
- Has desires for the panchvishays been eradicated from My mind or not?
- Has desires for the panchvishays in senior sādhus and senior devotees been eradicated or not?
- I should not become dejected, because it is good that by My association everyone happily engages in the bhakti of God.
- Performing bhakti of God in this manner is the only great benefit of living.
