Gadhada II-8: Ekādashi; ‘Gnān-Yagna’; ‘Antardrashti’

Nirupan

December 28, 1967, Mumbai. During the afternoon discourse, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “One who is a devotee of Akshar-Purushottam is constantly engaged in a gnān-yagna. Such gnān-yagna is not for one who sits idly. A true gnān-yagna is engaging in sevā.

“What is true association? True association means closeness to the Gunātit Purush. Oneness is the key. The Satpurush is the pathway to attain God.

“What is the highest spiritual state? The attainment of Gunātit. Once this is attained, all of the other virtues follow.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 4/595]

Nirupan

August 15, 1967, Mumbai. During the morning discourse, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “Tāmasi yagna is like beating someone and making an accusation: ‘Why did you join outcasts? You will go to narak.’ One should not engage in gossip or other misuse of one’s indriyas. This is bad company within Satsang. Gunātit is like the fire of Brahma. One should associate with Brahma through contemplation. If a blacksmith does the job of a confectioner, he will be called a confectioner – the same goes here. Being born unto Brahma is the final stage of knowledge. Introspection is looking at the manifest form of God or within one’s heart. Many ascetics sit in apparent meditation and introspection; however this is still categorized as a physical perspective. Introspection is attaining God and the Sant.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 3/521]

Nirupan

September 11, 1967, Mumbai. Yogiji Mahārāj said, “When one performs a single Ekādashi fast, one gains merits equivalent to feeding 60,000 sages daily for 100,000 years. How much merit is this? A staggering amount! On that [Ekādashi] day, one should feel ecstatic.”

[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 4/527]
