નિરૂપણ
(૧) સાંભળ બેની હરિ રીઝ્યાની રીતડી
અનાદિની મોટપ
તા. ૫-૭-’૫૬, સભામાં વાત કરતાં સ્વામીશ્રીએ કહ્યું:
“આ સત્સંગમાં જે ભગવાનના ભક્તનો મહિમા સમજે છે તે જ મોટો છે. મહારાજ પણ સત્સંગીના સત્સંગી હતા. માટે ભક્તના ભક્ત થાવું. મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીએ લખ્યું છે: ‘દાસી થઈને રે’જે દીનદયાળની’ – આમાં દાસી થવાનું કહ્યું. સેવાભાવ મહારાજને ગમતો. ગોમતી તળાવ ગળાતું હતું ત્યારે મહારાજ તળાવ ખોદનાર સંત-હરિભક્તોને મળતા. ત્યારે કેટલાક ગારાવાળા પગ કરીને મહારાજને મળવા આવ્યા, પણ મહારાજ કપટ જાણી ગયા. એમ ભગવાન કે એમના મોટા સંત તો અંતઃકરણની વાત જાણે. માટે સેવા કરી રાજી કરવા, એમ જુક્તિ ન કરવી.
“દરેક ક્રિયા ભજન કરતાં કરવી, પણ આધિ, વ્યાધિ અને ઉપાધિ રાખીને ક્રિયા કરીએ તો શાંતિ ન થાય. કુંડળના અમરા પટગરને ‘સ્વામિનારાયણ, સ્વામિનારાયણ’ રાત-દિવસ કહેવાની ટેવ હતી. તેથી મહારાજ એક દિવસ ગઢડેથી કુંડળ પધાર્યા અને અમરા પટગરને હોંકારો દીધો. આમ, અખંડ ભજનની ટેવ પાડી હોય તો મહારાજ પ્રગટ થાય. માટે ભજનની ટેવ પાડવી.
“નાના થવામાં માલ છે, પણ મોટાઈથી, હારતોરાથી, હાથી ઉપર બેસવામાં માલ નથી. એક વખત સ્વામી તથા સંતો જૂનાગઢથી નીકળ્યા. સ્વામી ઘોડા ઉપર બેઠા હતા. ચાર મુસલમાનોએ વિચાર કર્યો કે જે મોટેરા હોય તેને મારી નાંખવા. પછી એક હરિભક્તને પૂછ્યું કે તમારામાં મોટેરો કોણ છે? તેણે સ્વામી બતાવ્યા. સ્વામી પાસે આવ્યા અને પૂછ્યું, ‘તમે મોટા છો ને?’ ત્યારે સ્વામી કહે, ‘મોટા તો ખુદાતાલા છે અને હું તો દાસ છું.’ પછી મુસલમાનોએ વંદન કર્યાં.
“ભગવાન કે સંત પ્રગટ હોય ત્યારે મહિમા ન સમજાય, પણ અખંડ નિર્દોષભાવ જો થાય તો મહિમા સમજવામાં કસર રહે નહિ, અને આજ્ઞા પ્રમાણે વર્તાય.”

(1) Sāmbhaḷ benī Hari rījhyāṇī rītḍī
Eternal Greatness
On July 5, 1956, Yogiji Maharaj spoke in sabhā:
“In this Satsang, one who understands the greatness of God’s devotees is great. Maharaj was also a satsangi of satsangis. Therefore, we should become devotees of the devotees. (i.e. Become their servants.) Muktanand Swami wrote: ‘Dāsi thaine raheje din-dayālni’ (remain as a servant of God’s meek devotees). He said to become a servant. Maharaj liked servitude. The Gomti lake was being recharged. Maharaj embraced the sadhus and devotees who were involved in digging the lake. Some applied mud on them to make it seem they helped with the digging. However, Maharaj realized their deceit. God and the Sant known everything. Therefore, one should please them by serving them, not try to trick them.
“Every activity should be performed while doing bhajan. Amara Patgar of Kundal had a habit of saying ‘Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan’ day and night. Therefore, one day, Maharaj went to Kundal from Gadhada and answered to his name being called. (Maharaj gave Amara Patgar darshan in person in this way because of his habit.) If we develop a habit of worshiping continuously, then Maharaj will manifest himself.
“There is worth only in becoming small. There is no worth in becoming great or garlanding God or sitting on an elephant. Once, Gunatitanand Swami and some sadhus left Junagadh. Swami was on horseback. Four Muslims decided to kill the one who is the leader. They asked one devotee. He pointed to Gunatitanand Swami. They came toward Swami and asked, ‘Are you the great one here?’ Swami said, ‘The great one is Khudātālā (God). We are his servant.’ The Muslims bowed to Swami and left (because Swami became small).
“When God and the Sant are manifest, we cannot understand their greatness. However, if we perceive them as nirdosh continuously, then there will be no deficiency in understanding their greatness and we will be able to follow his commands.”
