(1) Mai to tere birud bharose bahunāmī

Mai to tere birud bharose bahunāmī...

I [live] trusting the promise given by Shriji Maharaj.

Sevā sumiran kachhuve na jānu,

I do not understand how to serve or meditate.

 Suniyo param guru Swāmī... birud 1

Oh supreme Maharaj, listen to me.

Gaj aru gīdh tārī hai ganikā,

You saved the elephant, the vulture (Jatayu), and a prostitute.

 Kuṭil Ajāmīl kāmī... birud 2

You also saved the sinful and lustful Ajamil.

Yehī sākh shravane sunī āyo,

These are the testaments that I have heard.

 Charan sharan sukh Dhāmī... birud 3

I seek the refuge of your holy feet.

Premānand kahe tāro ke māro,

Premanand Swami says you may save me or beat me.

 Samrath antarjāmī... birud 4

You are all-powerful and omniscient.
