Translation

(1) Main to bandī terī

Sadguru Brahmanand Swami

(Hāre) Mai to bandī terī, charan lagāye lerī…

(O Bhagwan) I am your servant and remain bowing at your holy feet (your refuge).

Mai bankī nij gharkī, prītam mere sirdār;

I am like a doorman at your home (i.e. not worthy of even entering). O dear one, you are my ruler.

Tīn bhuvanme tum bin more, aur nahi ādhār... mai 1

In all of the three worlds (swarg, mrutyu, and pātāl), you are my only support.

Mere dilkī dorī meram, hai jyu tere hāth;

The string (beat) of my heart is in your hands, O dear Bhagwan.

Binā molkī cherī torī, tum ho mere Nāth... mai 2

I am your feeble servant without any expectations from you. You are my support..

Mai hu kuṭil kushīl kinkarī, tum samarth shirtāj;

I am your characterless, obstinate servant; whereas you are great and revered.

Jyu tyu karke pār nibhāvo, tumko merī lāj... mai 3

Please sustain me in any way possible. My dignity is in your hands.

Mai hu dāsī charaṇ upāsī, rahyo na jāve dūr;

I am your servant and worship your holy feet. I will not go far from you.

Brahmānand kī ehī binantī, rākho Shyām hajūr... mai 4

Brahmanand Swami says, “This is my request: please keep me in your service.”
