(1) Nij sevakne re (pad - 10)
Nij sevakne re, sukh devāne kāj;
Pote pragaṭyā re, Purushottam Mahārāj. 1
For the purpose of giving bliss to His own disciples, Mahārāj himself, God, has manifested. 1
Faḷiyāmāhī re, sabhā karī virāje;
Pūraṇ shashī re, uḍugaṇmā jem chhāje. 2
Having finished sabha, He would sit in the courtyard (amongst the Paramhansas), shining like a full moon amidst the star-filled sky. 2
Brahmras varsī re, trupt kare harijanne;
Poḍhe rātre re, jamī Shyām shuddh annane. 3
He would fufill the devotees by showering the bliss of God. At night, having eaten a simple meal, Mahārāj would retire to bed. 3
Be āngaḷiyu re, tilak karyānī pere;
Bhāl vachche re, ūbhī rākhī fere. 4
He would rub two fingers upright in the middle of His forehead, as if applying a tilak. 4
Sūtā sūtā re, māḷā māgī laīne;
Jamṇe hāthe re, nit ferve chitt daīne. 5
Daily, while lying in bed, He would ask for a rosary and would turn it with His right hand with utmost concentration. 5
Bhul na paḍe re, kedī evu nem;
Dharmakuvarnī re, sahaj prakruti em. 6
Mahārāj’s natural inclination was such that a breach in such niyams would never occur on any day. 6
Bhar nidrāmā re, poḍhyā hoye Munirāye;
Koī ajāṇe re, lagār aḍī jāye. 7
(Even while) in deep sleep, (if) someone would accidentally touch him… 7
Tyāre faḍkī re, jāge sundar Shyām;
‘Koṇ chhe?’ pūchhe re, sevakne Sukhdhām. 8
… at that time, Mahārāj would suddenly awake and ask (His) attendant, “Who is it?” 8
Evī līlā re, Harinī anant apār;
Me to gāī re, kaik mati anusār. 9
I have sung such endless and infinite divine actions of Mahārāj according to my slight intellect. 9
Je koī prīte re, shikhshe suṇshe gāshe;
Premānandno re, Swāmī rājī thāshe. 10
Premānand’s Swāmi will become pleased on whosoever affectionately learns, listens to, and sings (these divine actions). 10
