(1) Re Shyām tame sāchu nāṇu
Re Shyām tame sāchu nāṇu, bīju sarve dukhḍāyak jāṇu...
Mahārāj, you are true wealth; I have realized everything else to be misery-inducing.

Te to sarve mahādukh upjāve;
Without you, all the so-called wealth and happiness of this world create great misery.
Ante emā kām koī nāve... re Shyām 1
In the end, they are all useless. 1
Re mūrakh lok mare bhaṭkī,
Jūṭhā sange hāre shir paṭkī;
(Let the) foolish people (of the world) die wandering; let them fall, beating their heads with false company.
Tethī mārī manvrutti aṭkī... re Shyām 2
My mind (is now) refrained from those (activities). 2
Re akhanḍ alaukik sukh sāru,
Re joī joī man mohyu māru;
My mind has become infatuated by seeing that eternal and otherworldly happiness.
Dharā dhan tam upar vāru... re Shyām 3
(I shall now) sacrifice (all my) land and money to you. 3
Re Brahmāthī kīṭ lagī joyu,
Jūṭhu sukh jāṇīne vagovyu;
I have seen the pleasures (enjoyed by beings) from Brahmā to the smallest insect, and realizing them to be false, have denounced them.
Muktānand man tam sang mohyu... re Shyām 4
Muktanand’s mind has become infatuated with your company. 4
