Translation
(1) Hari bhajtā sahu moṭap pāme
Hari bhajtā sahu moṭap pāme,
janma maraṇ dukh jāye re;
By worshiping God, one attains an elevated status. He is freed from the cycle of births and deaths.
Pāras parsī loh kanchan thaī,
monghe mūle vechāye re... Hari 1
(1) By the touch of the pārasmani, metal turns into gold and can be sold at a high price. (Swami is metaphorically saying that by worshiping God, one is transformed into gold - meaning their value increases because they attain a higher status. Example of Nāradji given in next line.)
Muni Nāradnī jātne jotā,
dāsī putra jag jāṇe re;
Harine bhajī Harinu man ke’vāṇā,
Veda Purāṇ vakhāṇe re... Hari 2
(2) Nāradji was the son of a servant. However, by worshiping God, he became known as the mind of God and he is praised by the Vedas and Purans.
Rādhājī ati prem magan thaī,
ur dhāryā Girdhārī re;
Harivar varī haritulya thayā,
jenu bhajan kare narnārī re... Hari 3
(3) Rādhāji affectionately worship God and kept him in her heart. She ‘married’ God and became equal to God. She is now worshiped along with God (as Rādhā and Krishna).
Shāmaḷiyāne sharaṇe je āve,
tenā te bhavdukh vāme re;
Muktānandnā Nāthne maḷtā,
akhanḍ evātaṇ pāme re... Hari 4
(4) Whoever seeks the refuge of God will have their miseries destroyed. By meeting (accepting the refuge of) God, one attains eternal good fortune (becomes eternally blessed).
