Translation
(1) Pragaṭ Puruṣhottamno mahimā dhāro ne vichāro jī
Pragaṭ Puruṣhottamno mahimā, dhāro ne vichāro jī;
Behold and contemplate on the greatness of the manifest Purushottam.
Aho! dhanya ā Hari bhajyāno, avsar āvyo sāro jī... 1
Oh! this is the most fortunate time to worship God.
Mangaḷmūrti Mohanvarnī, antarmā utāro jī;
The murti of God is auspicious. Internalize it in your heart.
Jāṇpaṇā rūp darvāje rahī, kām krodhne māro jī... 2
Remain at the gateway of awareness1 and beat your lust and anger.
Samajīne satsangī thaīe, lābh alaukik levā jī;
Become a satsangi with understanding and partake of the divinity.
Harikathā ne kīrtan karīe, sadāy sukhnā mevā jī... 3
Let’s listen to God’s discourses and sing his songs, which are blissful fruits.
Tan man antar swachchha karīne, sāchā sevak thaīe jī;
Cleanse your body, mind, and heart and become a true servant.
Dās Nārāyaṇ Hari bhajīne, Hari samīpe jaīe jī.... 4
Narayandas says, “By worshiping God, let us get closer to God.”
1. This is in reference to Vachanamrut Gadhada III-9. To remain at the doorway of awareness means to always be alert that one is not defeated by the internal enemies.
