(1) 1-506: Sajanī ṭāṇu āvyu re bhavjaḷ tarvānu

Narayandas

Sajanī ṭāṇu āvyu re bhavjaḷ tarvānu,

Dear friend, the time has come to cross the ocean of misery.

Mongho manuṣhyano vāro, bhavsāgarno āro,

The human birth is priceless; it is the shore (the end) of the births and deaths.

 Ḍāhyā dilmā vichāro... Satsang kījīe 1

The wise should think about this and practice satsang.

Sajanī ā re choghaḍiyu amṛut lābhanu,

Friend, this is the auspicious moment for an immortal benefit (liberation).

Farī nahi āve evu, vījnā zabkārā jevu,

This moment will not come again; it is like a lightning flash (i.e. momentary).

 Motī proīne levu... Satsang kījīe 2

String the pearl (in that flash) while you have the chance. (Liberate yourself while you have this human body.)

Sajanī dān dayānī ghaḍī chhellī chhe,

Friend, this is the last chance to donate your wealth.

Dān supātre karavu, dhyān Prabhunu dharvu,

Donate to the worthy. Meditate on God.

 Bhaktithī bhav taravu... Satsang kījīe 3

Cross the ocean of misery by doing bhakti.

Sajanī sant kahe te sāchu mānīe,

Friend, believe what the Sant says is true.

Gānṭh vāḷī nā chhūṭe, niyam nishchay nā tūṭe,

Just as a knot cannot be undone, observe niyams and keep nishchay firm.

 Sansār chhone re kūṭe... Satsang kījīe 4

Let the world say what they want.

Sajanī bhakti karīe re sāchā bhāvthī,

Friend, we should offer bhakti sincerely.

Pāchhā pagalā nā bharīe, sansār pār ūtarīe,

One should not take steps back. We should succeed in crossing the worldly life.

 Nārāyaṇdās ke’ ṭharīe... Satsang kījīe 5
