Translation
(1) Baḍbhāgī re pāme santno sang
Baḍbhāgī re, pāme santno sang;
Santthī mahāsukh pāmīe...
He who attains the company of a Sant is fortunate. He attains the greatest bliss through the Sant.
Jī re sant baḍā parmārthī, ṭāḷe urthī re,
Avidhyā abhimān, janma sufaḷ kare jantṇo;
Āpe anubhavī re, Prabhu pragaṭnu gnān... santthī 1
(1) The Sant is the greatest benefactor. He destroys one’s ignorance and arrogance from their heart. He makes the birth of all of the population fruitful. He is experienced and gives the knowledge of the manifest form of God.
Jī re Prabhu sange prīt vadhārvā, fare jagmā re,
Sāchā sant sujāṇ, Paramātmā pīchhāṇvā;
Parmārthī re, āpe pad nirvāṇ... santthī 2
(2) He travels the world to increase one’s affection for God. A true Sant is knowledgeable and he identifies God to everyone. He also elevates one’s spiritual status to the highest level.
Jī re santanā jash Shrīmukhe kahyā, Gītā madhye re,
Govind sukhḍhām, anubhavī māro ātmā;
Jenā manthī re, taḷyā krodh ne kām... santthī 3
(3) The glory of the Sant has been described by God (Krishna) in the Gita. He says that the Sant is my ātmā. The Sant has destroyed anger and lust from his mind.
Jī re sant vachan bhāve suṇe, tenā pātak re,
Pāme sarve nāsh, prīt vadhe Parbrahmamā;
Muktānand kahe re, pāme pad avināsh... santthī 4
(4) Whoever listens to the words of the Sant with affection will have their sins destroyed and will increase their love for God. They will achieve the eternal spiritual state.
