Translation
(1) Suṇo chatur sujāṇ em na ghaṭe re
Suṇo chatur sujāṇ, em na ghaṭe re tamne Dīnānāthjī;
Listen, O intelligent Lord. It does not suit you to [remain in hiding].
Mārā prāṇnā ādhār, jem rākho tem rahīe vachanne sāthjī...
You are the support of life. We will live as you wish while abiding by your words.
Ame tam kāraṇ sahyā meṇā,
We tolerated many taunts for your sake...
Nāth nīrakhvā ne suṇvā veṇā;
To have your darshan and to listen to your words.
Ame trupta nav kīdhā neṇā... suṇo 1
We never satisfied our eyes (from having your darshan).
Ame loklāj kuḷnī lopī,
We renounced our families and our integrity...
kahevāyā Girdharnī Gopī;
We were called your Gopis (just as the Gopis renounced the shame of society to join Krishna).
Ame tam kāraṇ paherī ṭopī... suṇo 2
We wore this cap (i.e. the saffron clothes of sadhus) for you.
Pahelī prīt karī shīdne āge,
Why did you love us in the beginning...
dūdh dekhāḍīne māryā ḍānge;
Luring us with milk (like a cat is lured with milk) and then beat us with a stick?
Pachhī tene te kevu vasmu lāge... suṇo 3
How difficult would this be for us (to tolerate)?
Kāī dayā āve to darshan dejo,
If you have any pity, please give me your darshan.
nahi to akhanḍ antarmā rahejo;
Otherwise, remain forever in my heart.
Em Shrīrangnā Swāmīne kahejo... suṇo 4
