Translation

(1) Bhagwān morī naiyā us pār lagā denā

Bhagwān morī naiyā us pār lagā denā;

O God, help my boat cross the ocean [of sansār].

 Ab tak to nibhāyā hai, āge bhī nibhā lenā...

You have carried me thus far. Continue to carry me going forward also.

Dal bal ke sāth māyā, ghere mujhe jo ākar;

Māyā has surrounded me with its strength.

 Tab dekhte na rahnā, jhaṭ āke chhuḍā lenā... 1

Do not look on, but quickly come and free me [from māyā].

Sambhav hai jhanjhaṭome, tujhko mai bhul jāu;

It is possibble I will forget you in difficult times.

 Par Nāth kahī tum bhī, mujhko na bhulā denā... 2

However, O God. Do not forget me.

Tum īshṭ mai upāsak, tum puj mai pūjārī;

You are God and I am your devotee. You are worthy of worship and I am your worshipper.

 Yah bāt agar sach hai, sach karke dikhā denā... 3
