Translation

(1) Sampīlo parivār amāro jampīlo parivār

Sampīlo parivār, amāro jampīlo parivār.

Ours is a united family. Ours is a peaceful family.

Ek dehnā ang ame, am kathā taṇo ā sār.

We are all parts of one body. This is the essence of our discourses.

Ṭhes page vāge ne tyā to mukhaḍu de ūhakāro,

When the foot strikes something, the mouth cries out in pain.

Ānkho shodhe ghāvne ane hāth kare upchāro,

The eyes search for the injury, and the hands apply the treatment.

 Anya dukhe dukhī thaīne sau āpe chhe sahakār. Sampīlo parivār. 1

Similarly, when others are pained, all of us come to their aide.

Hāth kare kaī kām navu ne kanṭhe hār paḍe chhe,

Even though the hands accomplish something new and great, the neck is garlanded.

Vāt suṇīne vadan taṇī koī mastakne pūje chhe,

The mouth delivers a great speech, but the forehead is worshipped.

 Kare ko’k ne maḷe ko’kane emā majā apār. Sampīlo parivār. 2

We experience joy when someone is praised for the work accomplished by another.

Pag lapase tyā doḍī doḍī kar sambhāḷe bājī,

When the feet slip, the hands sway to maintain balance.

Swayam bhalene khaḍe paḍe paṇ ṭeko detā rājī,

Even though the hands fall, they are happy to lend their support.

 Milāvavā chhe khabhe-khabhā bas ek ja dṛuḍh nirdhār. Sampīlo parivār. 3

We only have one determination: to remain together shoulder-to-shoulder.

Māhī rāje ātam rājā, sau par hukam kare chhe,

Within our heart, the ātmā is the king who rules over all the parts of the body.

Ang ang raiyat enī e vachano shire dhare chhe,

Each part of the body are subjects of the king, and they obey his commands fully.

 Pramukh Swāmī ātam saunā ek ja sarvādhār,

Pramukh Swami is the ātmā of us all. Only he is the support of us all.

 Mahant Swāmī ātam saunā ek ja sarvādhār. Sampīlo parivār.
