Translation
(1) Kahat Hari sant kahāvat soy
Kahat Hari sant kahāvat soy,
God says, “The Sant is known as such...” (i.e. the attributes as mentioned in the following lines)
Sadā virakta jagatme vichare, kām kubudhī khoy... ṭek
One who travels the world, yet has no desires; and one who is devoid of lust and an ill intellect.
Antar bahār kabu nahī parase, kanak kāmanī doy;
Internally or physically, he does not entertain thoughts of nor physically touches women or wealth.
Mān rahīt rahe nit mere, charaṇume chitta proy... Kahat 1
Having renounced ego, he has submitted his mind at my holy feet.
Sārā-sār vivek nirantar, viṣhayāsakta na hoy;
He thoroughly knows the distinction between sār (that which is eternal - the ātmā and God) and asār (that which is perishable - one’s body and the material world) at all times; therefore, he does not become attached to the pleasures of the senses.
Jo sharaṇāgat āye yāke, nākhe pātak dhoy... Kahat 2
He washes the sins away of those who seek his refuge.
Sāmṛuth pāy kabu nahi chhalakat, jyu udadhine toy;
Desite having attained powers, he does not overflow (become egotistical of the powers) like the water of the ocean.
Brahmānand kahyo Shrīmukhse, eso jan priya moy... Kahat 3
Brahmanand Swami says - God himself says that one who has the aforementioned attributed is dear to me.
