Translation
(1) Āj to aṭārī men birāje
Āj to aṭārī men birāje avatārī āli,
O friend! Today, the Supreme God is present on the terrace [of a devotee’s house].
Rūp kī bisekatāī nek jāī dekh rī. 1
His beauty is so mesmerizing; go near to see it in its full glory!
Sānvaro sujān mukh chāvat hai pān āli,
The all-knowing with tanned complexion is chewing a pān bidi (mouth freshener).
Mān men maror pāgh bāndhat vishekh rī. 2
Gracefully he is tying a special pāgh on his head at the same time.
Gajarā gulābaun ke gūnthat gumānī nīke,
Beautiful roses are tied around the wrists and arms, befitting his beauty.
Tīkhe tīkhe nain men arunatā kī rekh rī. 3
His sharp, piercing eyes have strokes of soft redness.
Upamā kahī na jāye koṭi kām lāge pāye,
The uniqueness is such that nothing can be compared to this. Countless Kāmdevas (possessing the power of love) fall at his feet [in admiration].
Premānand āge gāye rīze naṭ bhekh rī. 4
Premanand Swami is singing and pleasing God (a magician in disguise of a human).
