(1) 2-251: Evī shobhāne dhārtā āve Manoharlāl
Evī shobhāne dhārtā, āve Manoharlāl;
Maharaj came with such majesty.
Amṛutnī draṣhṭi kare, saune vadhāre vā’l... ° 1
He looked upon everyone with love and everyone’s love for him increased.
Chauṭāmā āvyā Shāmaḷo, bhīḍ machī bharpūr;
Maharaj came to the city square, where it became extremely crowded.
Guṇījan bheṭyu laīne, āvyā Harine hajūr... ° 2
Everyone brought gifts for Maharaj.
Meḍī zarukhe jāḷiye, chaḍī here purnār;
The women of the city were in their lofts, balconies, and windows (doing darshan of Maharaj).
Puṣhpa vere pārijātnā, chhānṭe chandannī gār... ° 3
People showered pārijāt flowers and sprayed fine mist of chandan.
Nagarsheṭh Hemābhāī, tenī mātāe gher;
At the house of the city chief Hemabhai’s mother...
Sonānā fūlaḍe vadhāviyā, Shyām sundar bahu per... ° 4
Maharaj was welcomed with golden flowers.
Purvāsī pāvan karī, āvyā mandirmā āp;
Then, blessing the city people, Maharaj came to the mandir.
Dās Gopāḷ kahe bāḷiyā, koṭi janamnā pāp... ° 5
Gopaldas says, Maharaj destroyed the sins of countless lives.
