પ્રસંગ
(૧) મીઠા વહાલા કેમ વિસરું મારું - શયન આરતી
શ્રીજી મહારાજે અંતિમ લીલા દરમ્યાન ગઢપુરમાં માંદગી ગ્રહન કરી. તે જ અરસામાં રોજકાના કાકાભાઈને૧ પણ છેલ્લો મંદવાડ આવ્યો અને શ્રીજી મહારાજને છેલ્લાં દર્શન દેવા પત્ર લખ્યો. સ્વયમ માંદા હોવા છતાં પોતે સાજા થઈને કાકાભાઈને દર્શન દઈને પાછા ગઢપુર પધાર્યા. કાકાભાઈ ધામમાં સિધાવ્યા અને મહારાજે ગઢપુર પાછા પધારી માંદગી ગ્રહન કરી.
જૂનાગઢમાં જેઠ સુદ ચોથના દિવસે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી મંદિરમાં પ્રદક્ષિણા ફરતા હતા. ત્યાં શિખરનો એક ભાગ તૂટીને પગ પાસે પડ્યો. અપશુકન થયા! તેમને મનમાં અમંગળ થશે તેની ખાતરી થઈ. ત્યાં તો ભારે હૃદયે બ્રહ્માનંદ સ્વામી મંદિરમાં પ્રવેશ્યા. તેમણે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીને મહારાજના સર્વ સમાચાર કહ્યા અને કહ્યું, “આપ હમણાં જ ગઢડે જાઓ, મહારાજે આપને બોલાવ્યા છે. મહારાજ આપની રાહ જુએ છે.”
તરત જ સભામંડપની ખીંટીએથી ઝોળી લઈ, જોડિયા સાધુ સાથે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી ચાલી નીકળ્યા. પવનવેગે ચાલવા માંડ્યું. એક દિવસમાં ચાલીસ ગાઉ ચાલ્યા. એમ ચાલતાં ચાલતાં જેઠ સુદ છઠની સવારે ગઢડે પહોંચી ગયા.
ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી સીધા જ અક્ષર ઓરડીએ ગયા. સુરાખાચરે અંદર જઈ મહારાજને ખબર આપ્યા કે, “ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી આવ્યા છે.”
આ સાંભળી મહારાજ તરત જ ઢોલિયા પર બેઠા થઈ ગયા અને બોલ્યા, “સ્વામી આવ્યા? તેમને અહીં બોલાવો.”
સુરાખાચરે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીને અંદર મોકલ્યા. સ્વામી દંડવત્ કરી મહારાજને પગે લાગ્યા. મહારાજ તેમને બેઠાં બેઠાં ભેટ્યા. પછી સ્વામી મહારાજના ઇશારાથી પગ આગળ પલંગની પાંગતે બેસી ગયા. મહારાજ સ્વામી સામું પ્રેમદૃષ્ટિથી જોઈ રહ્યા. પછી થોડી વારે બોલ્યા:
“મીઠા વ્હાલા કેમ વિસરું, મારું તમથી બાંધેલ તન હો,
તરસ્યાને જેમ પાણીડું વહાલું, ભૂખ્યાને ભોજન હો.”
પછી મહારાજ આરામ કરે એ વિચારે સ્વામીએ રજા લીધી. મહારાજ માથે સુધી ઓઢીને પોઢી ગયા. હવે મહારાજ રોજ શિરા-પૂરીના થાળમાંથી થોડું જમતા અને બાકીનું ગુણાતીત સ્વામીને આપી દેતા. સૌને થોડી શાંતિ વળી.
૧. આ જ કાકાભાઈએ વચનામૃત ગઢડા પ્રથમ ૭૦માં શ્રીજી મહારાજને પ્રશ્નો પૂછ્યા છે, માટે તેમના નામે વચનામૃતનું શીર્શક પડ્યું છે.
Prasang
(1) Mīṭhā vahālā kem visaru māru - Shayan Ārtī
During Shriji Mahārāj final divine actions, he assumed an illness in Gadhpur. At the same time, Kākābhāi of Rojakā1 was suffering his last illness. Knowing that he would die soon, he wrote a letter to Shriji Mahārāj requesting his last darshan. Mahārāj himself was ill, but he cast his illness aside to visit Kākābhāi. After giving his final darshan, Kākābhāi left his mortal body and attained Akshardhām. Mahārāj returned to Gadhadā and assumed his illness again.
In Junāgadh, on Jeth sud 4, Gunatitanand Swami was performing pradakshinā in the mandir. Suddenly a portion of the shikhar fell and came down near his feet. It was a bad omen. He had misgivings in his mind. He was convinced that some misfortune was awaiting them all. When he was brooding like this, Brahmānand Swāmi entered. He gave a detailed report on Mahārāj’s health to Swāmi. He said, “You must immediately go to Gadhadā. Mahārāj wants to see you. He is awaiting your arrival there.” Immediately, Swami collected his potlu and left for Gadhadā with his companion sadhus. He was walking, rather running, as fast as wind. He covered more than sixty miles in a day and reached Gadhadā on Jeth sud 6.
Gunātitānand Swāmi rushed directly to the Akshar Ordi. Surā Khāchar went inside and informed Mahārāj, “Gunātitānand Swāmi has arrived.” No sooner did Mahārāj hear his name, than he sprang up on his bed and said, “Has Swāmi come? Send him here.”
Surā Khāchar went out and directed Swāmi to Mahārāj. Swāmi offered respects with prostration. Mahārāj embraced him while remaining form his bed. Then Swāmi sat at the feet of Mahārāj on the bed, as intimated by Mahārāj. Mahārāj radiated his divine love towards Swāmi. Then, after a pause he sang:
“Mithā vhālā kem visaru māru, tamthi bāndhel tan ho;
Tarsyāne jem pānidu vahālu, bhukhyāne bhojan ho.”
“How can I forget you my beloved when you are a part of my existence, my consciousness? The way the thirsty long for water and the starving for food, I long for you…”
Then, with an intent to allow Mahārāj to rest, Swāmi took leave. Once again Mahārāj covered himself and fell asleep. Now Mahārāj would take some food from the thāl of shirā-puri and give the rest to Gunātitānand Swāmi. Hope returned and people relaxed a bit.
