દીનાનાથ ભટ્ટ
સત્સંગી ભક્તો
ભરૂચ જિલ્લાના આમોદ ગામના દીનાનાથ ભટ્ટ જ્ઞાતિએ બ્રહ્મણ કુળના હતા. ખૂબ જ વિદ્વાન અને સંસ્કૃત-કાવ્યમાં કુશળ હતા. સમગ્ર ભાગવત મોઢે હતું, પણ મયારામ ભટ્ટ (જે અભણ હતા) તેનું નામ મહારાજે શિક્ષાપત્રીમાં રાખ્યું અને પોતાનો ઉલ્લેખ પણ નહીં? આ વિચારથી તેમને મહારાજનો અભાવ આવેલો અને કુસંગથી દર્શને આવતા બંધ થયા. પછી તેમની દીકરી જમનાને ભૂત વળગ્યું. પોતે બધા પ્રયત્નો કર્યા પણ મેળ ન પડતાં પાછા મહારાજ પાસે આવી માફી માંગી. મહારાજે મયારામ ભટ્ટને બોલાવ્યા. મયારામને પગે લાગ્યા અને મહારાજની પણ માફી માંગેલી અને પછી પુનઃ સત્સંગમાં આવતા થયેલા.
દીનાનાથ ભટ્ટે કારિયાણી ૧ અને ૨માં ભગવાના સ્વરૂપમાં નિશ્ચય સંબંધી પ્રશ્નો પૂછ્યા છે. તેનું કારણ તે વચનામૃતના ઇતિસાહમાં જણાવેલ છે.
અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીએ સ્વામીની વાતો પ્રકરણ ૧૧/૧૭ અને પ્રકરણ ૧૨/૧૮૯માં દીનાનાથ ભટ્ટને મહારાજનો અવગુણ આવ્યો હતો તેનો ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો છે, તે અક્ષરામૃતમ્માં પણ મળે છે: અમૃત કળશ ૪/૧૮ અને અમૃત કશળ ૨૨/૧૨.
વિશેષ, દીનાનાથ ભટ્ટે સંસ્કૃતમાં ‘શ્રીનીલકંઠ ચિન્તનાષ્ટકમ્’ અષ્ટક રચ્યું છે.

Dinānāth Bhatt was a brāhmin devotee from Āmod (in Bharuch). He was a great scholar and proficient in writing Saskrut verses. He has the whole Bhagwat memorized. When Shriji Maharaj wrote Mayārām Bhatt’s name in the Shikshapatri and he was not mentioned, he perceived a fault in Maharaj. Moreover, he became influenced by kusang and stopped coming for Maharaj’s darshan. Subsequently, his daughter Jamanā was possessed with a ghost. He tried many means to exorcise the ghost but was not met with success. Therefore, he came back to Maharaj and asked for forgiveness. Maharaj called Mayārām Bhatt and Dinānāth Bhatt asked him for forgiveness. He started coming back to satsang.
Dinānāth Bhatt has asked questions regarding conviction in God’s form in Vachanamruts Kariyani 1 and 2. The background to these questions are mentioned in the history of those Vachanamruts.
Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami has mentioned Dinānāth Bhatt in Swamini Vato Prakaran 11/17 and 12/189. These can be found in Aksharamrutam (in Gujarati): Amrut Kalash 4/18 and Amrut Kalash 22/12.
