પ્રકારઃ ૨૭

 

દોહા

વરણવી વાત વરતાલની, કોટિ ઘણીમાંથી કિંચિત ।

ગાઉં રીતિ ગઢડા તણી, જિયાં ઉદ્ધારિયા અગણિત ॥૧॥

ઘણું ઘણું ઘનશ્યામ જિયાં, રહી કર્યાં માંગલિક કાજ ।

અનંત જીવ ઉદ્ધારિયા, મહા નિજબળે મહારાજ ॥૨॥

પાપી સુરાપી¹ પલલભક્ષી,² લખી ન જાયે અવળાઈ લેશ ।

એવા જન ઉદ્ધારિયા, આપી આપે ઉપદેશ ॥૩॥

વળી ઉત્સવ સમૈયા અતિ કર્યા, તેમાં આવિયા જે જે જન ।

તે જનને પણ તારિયા, દઈ પોતે દરશન ॥૪॥

ચોપાઈ

કર્યા ઉત્સવ અતિ અપાર રે, જગજીવન જગ આધાર રે ।

અષ્ટમી અન્નકોટ ઉત્સવ રે, કર્યા ભવજળ [બૌજન] તારવા ભવ રે ॥૫॥

વસંતપંચમી ને ફૂલદોલ રે, તે દી રંગ ઉડાડ્યો અતોલ રે ।

રામનૌમી એકાદશી આદિ રે, તે દી લીલા કરી રાયજાદી રે ॥૬॥

અષ્ટમી ઉત્સવે આવ્યા દાસ રે, રાખ્યા ચોમાસાના ચાર માસ રે ।

નિત્ય ના’વા જાતા સંત સાથ રે, જન જોઈને થાતા સનાથ રે ॥૭॥

ના’તા નૌતમ કરતા લીલા રે, ભળી વળી પોતે સંત ભેળા રે ।

ગાતા વાતા આવતા ઉતારે રે, જન જમાડતા તેહ વારે રે ॥૮॥

જમી આપે જમાડતા જન રે, ભાત્ય ભાત્યનાં અન્ન વ્યંજન રે ।

દેતા દહીં દૂધ તે દોવટે રે, સારા શોભતા સોનેરી પટે રે ॥૯॥

બહુવાર પંગત્યમાં ફરતા રે, એમ અષ્ટમી ઉત્સવ કરતા રે ।

અન્નકોટ ઉપર આવે દાસ રે, તેને ઊઠી મળે અવિનાશ રે ॥૧૦॥

હાર ઉતારી હૈયેથી દિયે રે, જન નમાવી મસ્તક લિયે રે ।

પછી પુછે સુખ સમાચાર રે, એમ આપે સુખ અપાર રે ॥૧૧॥

પછી અનેક ભાત્યનાં અન્ન રે, કરી રાખ્યાં જે ભરી ભાજન³ રે ।

તે તો પંક્તિ કરી પીરસ્યાં રે, જમી જન મનમાં હૂલસ્યાં રે ॥૧૨॥

નિજ હાથે જમાડે છે નાથ રે, મૂકી જન માથે હરિ હાથ રે ।

એમ આપે છે સુખ અલેખે રે, તે તો નર અમર સૌ દેખે રે ॥૧૩॥

એહ ઉત્સવમાં હતા જન રે, તેનાં ભાગ્ય માનો ધન્યધન્ય રે ।

પણ એમાં તો ન હોય ભેળા રે, કેડે સાંભળી જેણે એ લીલા રે ॥૧૪॥

તે તો બ્રહ્મમો’લે ભલી ભાત્ય રે, જાશે બીજાને લઈ સંગાત્ય રે ।

તેમાં સંશે કરશો મા કાંઈ રે, હરિએ ઇચ્છા કરી ઉરમાંઈ રે ॥૧૫॥

વળી વસંત પંચમીએ વાલે રે, બહુ સખા રંગ્યા’તા ગુલાલે રે ।

પોતે ભરી ગુલાલની ઝોળી રે, નાંખી રંગ્યા હતા સંત ટોળી રે ॥૧૬॥

એહ સમો સંભારે જે જન રે, વળી સાંભળી કરે ચિંતવન રે ।

તેને અક્ષરધામનું બાર રે, જાણો ઉઘડિયું છે આ વાર રે ॥૧૭॥

શીદ શંકા રાખે જન મન રે, મળ્યે સહજાનંદ ભગવન રે ।

આજ બહુ જીવ તારવા સારુ રે, કર્યા અલબેલે ઉપાય હજારું રે ॥૧૮॥

જીવ જોરેશું જાવા છે લઈ રે, સુખી કરવા છે સુખ દઈ રે ।

હશે જીવને જાવાનું બીજે રે, પણ જાવું પડશે રીઝે ખીજે રે ॥૧૯॥

એમાં નહિ પડે કેણે ફેર રે, શીદ કહેવરાવો વેરવેર રે ।

હરિ પ્રતાપે બ્રહ્મમો’લમાં રે, જાવા આવી ગયા છે તોલમાં⁴ રે ॥૨૦॥

Dohā

Varanavi vāta Vartālani, koti ghanimāthi kinchita.

Gāu riti Gadhadā tani, jiyā uddhāriyā aganita..1

I have described only a fraction of the stories of Vartal. Let me sing the details of Gadhada, where countless jivas have been uplifted... 1

Ghanu ghanu Ghanashyāma jiyā, rahi karyā māngalika kāja.

Ananta jiva uddhāriyā, mahā nijabale Mahārāja..2

Where Maharaj stayed a great amount of time and performed many unique lilās. Infinite jivas were liberated here through Maharaj’s own incredible powers... 2

Pāpi surāpi palala-bhakshi, lakhi na jāye avalāi lesha.

Evā jana uddhāriyā , āpi āpe upadesha.. 3

The sinful, alcoholics, and those who eat meat; such people who are stubborn (to observe dharma); yet, Maharaj liberated them by preaching to them... 3

Vali utsava samaiyā ati karyā, temā āviyā je je jana.

Te janane pana tāriyā, dai pote darashana .. 4

And he celebrated numerous festivalss here. He liberated whoever attended these celebrations by giving them darshan... 4

Chopāi

Karyā utsava ati apāra re, Jagajivana jaga ādhāra re.

Ashtami annakota utsava re, karyā bhavajala tāravā bhava re..5

Maharaj celebrated countless festivals. He celebrated Janmashtami, Annakut to uplift worldly jivas from this worldly life... 5

Vasant-panchami ne fuladola re, te di ranga udādyo atola re.

Ramanavmi Ekadashi ādi re, te di lilā kari rāyajādi re..6

On the days of Vasant Panchami and Fuldol, he threw a never-ending amount of colour on devotees. On Ramnavmi, Ekadashi and other such days, he performed many other lilās... 6

Ashtami utsave āvyā dāsa re, rākhyā chomasanā chār māsa re.

Nitya nā’vā jātā santa sātha re, jana joine thātā sanātha re ..7

Devotees came on Ashtami Utsav and Maharaj kept them there for the 4 months of monsoon. Maharaj went to bathe daily with the sadhus; devotees became ecstatic by seeing "meaning_en"class="calibre3">this.... 7

Nā’tā nautama karatā lilā re, bhali vali pote santa bhelā re.

Gātā vātā āvatā utāre re, jana jamādatā teha vāre re..8

Whilst swimming, Maharaj performed unique lilās and mingled with the sadhus. On the way back to his residence, they sang and talked. Thereafter, he served the devotees... 8

Jami āpe jamādatā jana re, bhātya bhātyanā anna vyanjana re.

Detā dahi dudha te dovate re, sārā shobhatā soneri pate re..9

After Maharaj ate, he fed the devotees many different types of foods. Maharaj poured yoghurt and milk in their bowls while wearing attractive golden clothes... 9

Bahuvāra pangatyamā faratā re, ema ashtami utsava karatā re.

Annakota upara āve dāsa re, tene uthi male avināsha re..10

Maharaj served devotees sitting down to eat numerous times; in this way, he celebrated the Ashtami

Utsav. Maharaj stood up and met the devotees that came on the Annakut day... 10

Hāra utāri haiyethi diye re, jana namāvi mastaka liye re.

Pachhi puchhe sukha samāchāra re, ema āpe sukha apāra re..11

Maharaj takes a garland off his chest and gives it to the devotees. They would accept the garland by bowing their head. Then, Maharaj asked about their news? In this way, he gave never-ending happiness... 11

Pachhi aneka bhātyanā anna re, kari rākhyā je bhari bhājana re.

Te to pankti kari pirasyā re, jami jana manamā hulasyā re..12

Then, he had many types of foods prepared and filled the utensils with food. Everyone sat in rows and Maharaj served everyone; devotees became overwhelmed by being fed... 12

Nija hāthe jamāde chhe nātha re, muki jana māthe hari hātha re.

Ema āpe chhe sukha alekhe re, te to nara amara sau dekhe re..13

Maharaj fed everyone with his own hand and put his hand on their head. In this way, he gave indescribable happiness; humans and the deities see this themselves... 13

Eha utsavamā hatā jana re, tenā bhāgya māno dhanya dhanya re.

Pana emā to na hoya bhelā re, kede sāmbhali jene e lilā re..14

Believe that the devotees who were present at these utsavs are fortunate. But even those who were not present there and just heard the stories of the utsavs... 14

Te to Brahmamo’le bhali bhātya re, jāshe bijāne lai sangātya re.

Temā sanshe karasho mā kāi re, harie ichchhā kari uramāi re..15

They will achieve Akshardham, and they will take others with them too. No one should doubt this because Maharaj had this desire in his heart... 15

Vali Vasanta Panchamie vale re, bahu sakhā rangyā’tā gulāle re.

Pote bhari gulālani jholi re, nākhi rangyā hatā santa toil re..16

And on the day of Vasant Panchami, Maharaj sprayed color many of his devotees. Maharaj himself filled a big basket of red color and threw it upon the group of sadhus... 16

Eha samo sambhāre je jana re, vali sāmbhali kare chintavana re.

Tene Aksharadhāmanu bāra re, jāno ughadiyu chhe ā vāra re..17

Whoever reminisces this time and contemplates it in their mind; the doors of Akshardham have opened fully for them... 17

Shida shankā rākhe jana mana re, malye Sahajānanda Bhagavana re.

Āja bahu jiva tāravā sāru re, karyā alabele upāya hajāru re..18

Why should devotees doubt in their mind? They have attained Sahajanand Swami. To liberate numerous jivas today, Maharaj has applied thousands of ways... 18

Jiva joreshu jāvā chhe lai re, sukhi karavā chhe sukha dai re.

Hashe jivane jāvānu bije re, pana jāvu padashe rijhe khije re..19

He wants to take the jivas alongside him with forcefully and wants to make them happy. Even if the jivas are destined to go elsewhere, they’ll have to go with Maharaj happily or vexed... 19

Emā nahi pade kene fera re, shida kahevarāvo veravera re.

Hari pratāpe Brahmamo’lamā re, jāvā āvi gayā chhe tolamā re..20

There will be no change in this; I will repeat this over and over again. Through the power of Maharaj, Akshardham is achieved by attaining such a spectacular opportunity... 20
