દોહા
ભક્તિ ધર્મ સુત શ્રીહરિ, સહજાનંદ સુખરૂપ ।
વિનય સહિત વંદન કરું, પાવન પરમ અનુપ ॥૧॥
ચિંતવિ ચરણનખચંદ છટા, લખી ઉર અમિત1 પ્રતાપ ।
વંદું વિઘ્ન વિનાશકર, હરણ વિપત અણમાપ ॥૨॥
સ્વામિનારાયણ સુખદ, પ્રગટ વિદિત જગસૂર ।
ત્રિવિધ તાપ અજ્ઞાન તમ, કળિમળ મત કર ચૂર ॥૩॥
આપો વાણી રસભરી, વિમળ મતિ અવિનાશ ।
ચરણ વંદી આદર કરું, પુરુષોત્તમપ્રકાશ ॥૪॥
ચોપાઈ
રચું ગ્રંથ પ્રગટ ગુણ જુક્ત રે, કૃપા કરો હરિજન મુક્ત રે ।
આ ગ્રંથ પ્રગટ પર જાણી રે, લેજ્યો પ્રગટ મહિમા ઉર આણી રે ॥૫॥
નામ પુરુષોત્તમપ્રકાશ રે, પુરુષોત્તમ મહિમા નિવાસ રે ।
પુરુષોત્તમ પરમ દયાળ રે, તે જ ભક્તિધર્મના બાળ રે ॥૬॥
એ છે દિવ્ય સદા સાકાર રે, એના મહિમાનો વાર2 ન પાર રે ।
નવ પો’ચે મન વાણી વિચાર રે, એવા અગમ શ્રી ધર્મકુમાર રે ॥૭॥
જેને નિગમ નેતિ નેતિ કહે રે, અલ્પ બુદ્ધિ પાર કેમ લહે રે ।
એના ચરણકમળ પરતાપ રે, કરું કંઈક અમાપનો માપ રે ॥૮॥
લખું દિશમાત્ર3 તે વિચારી રે, કૃપા કરજ્યો સંત સુખકારી રે ।
જ્યાં રે’ છે સદા સુખકારી રે, વર્ણવું ધામ તે મૂર્તિ સંભારી રે ॥૯॥
શ્રીગોલોક ધામ મોઝાર રે, અક્ષરધામ છે હરિનું સાર રે ।
કોટિ રવિ શશિ તડિત4 અનળ5 રે, તેમના તેજથી અતિ નિર્મળ રે ॥૧૦॥
એ છે પરમ દિવ્ય અતિ શ્વેત રે, સચ્ચિદાનંદ રૂપનિકેત6 રે ।
જેને બ્રહ્મપુર કહે અમૃતધામ રે, પરમપદ આદિ અનંત નામ રે ॥૧૧॥
જેને કે’ છે બ્રહ્મ ચિદાકાશ રે, એમાં સદાય શ્રીહરિનો વાસ રે ।
એ શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું અક્ષરધામ રે, પરમ પાવન પૂરણકામ રે ॥૧૨॥
એમાં સદાય શ્રીહરિ વિરાજે રે, નીરખી કોટિ કામછબી લાજે રે ।
એ છે પુરુષોત્તમ અધિરાય રે, વાસુદેવ નારાયણ કે’વાય રે ॥૧૩॥
પરમાત્મા પરબ્રહ્મ નામ રે, બ્રહ્મ ઈશ્વર પરમેશ્વર શ્યામ રે ।
કહે વિષ્ણુ વૈકુંઠપતિ સ્વામી રે, એ છે અનંત નામના નામી રે ॥૧૪॥
એ છે અક્ષરપર અવિનાશ રે, સર્વકર્તા નિયંતા નિવાસ રે ।
કારણકારણ કળા વિકાશ7 રે, અંતરજામી નિર્ગુણ સ્વયંપ્રકાશ રે ॥૧૫॥
એ છે સ્વતંત્ર સર્વાધાર રે, એવા ભક્તિધર્મના કુમાર રે ।
અનંત કોટિ મુક્ત બ્રહ્મરૂપ રે, તેમને ઊપાસ્યા યોગ્ય અનુપ રે ॥૧૬॥
અનંત કોટિ બ્રહ્માંડની જેહ રે, ઊત્પત્તિ સ્થિતિ લય કહિએ તેહ રે ।
એવી લીલા જેની અતિ સાર રે, એવા ધર્મકુંવર કિરતાર8 રે ॥૧૭॥
માયા પુરુષ કૃતાંત9 અનાદિ રે, પ્રધાનપુરુષ મહત્તત્ત્વ આદિ રે ।
એ આદિ અનંત શક્તિધાર રે, એના પ્રેરક ધર્મકુમાર રે ॥૧૮॥
અનંત કોટી બ્રહ્માંડના જેહ રે, સ્વામી રાજાધિરાજ છે તેહ રે ।
સદા કિશોર મૂર્તિ શોભાધામ રે, પરમ પાવન પૂરણકામ રે ॥૧૯॥
દેખી કોટિ રતિપતિ10 લાજે રે, મેઘ નવીન શ્યામ છબી છાજે રે ।
ભક્તવત્સલ મહા ભયહારી રે, એવા ધર્મકુંવર સુખકારી રે ॥૨૦॥

By remembering your beautiful form; upon writing this, my heart is dignified. You are our protector and saviour from countless suffering; I bow down to you... 2
Swāminārāyana sukhad, pragata vidit jagasura.
Trividha tāpa agnyān tama, kalimala mata kar chura… 3
Lord Swaminarayan is the cause of happiness, manifest and visible by every human in this universe; You are the destroyer of all three types of suffering, ignorance, and wicked beliefs of Kali-yug... 3
Āpo vāni ras-bhari, vimal mati Avināsh.
Charana vandi ādara karu, Purushottama-Prakāsha… 4

Purushottama parama dayāla re, te ja Bhakti-Dharmanā bāla re… 6
The name (of this scripture) is Purushottam-Prakash, which contains the greatnes of Purushottam. Purushottam, immensely merciful, is the son of Bhakti and Dharma... 6
E chhe divya sadā sākār re, enā mahimāno vāra na pār re.
Nava po’che mana vāni vichāra re, evā agama Shri Dharma-kumāra re... 7
He has a definite divine form; and his greatness cannot be fathomed. He cannot be reached by thought or intellect; that is how indescribable the son of Dharma is... 7
Jene nigama neti neti kahe re, alpa buddhi pāra kema lahe re.
Enā charana-kamala paratāpa re, karu kaika amāpano māp re… 8
The Vedas and other scriptures cannot describe him fully so how can someone with insignificant intellect describe him. With the grace of his miraculous holy feet, I begin to describe the indescribable... 8
Lakhu dishamātra te vichāri re, krupā karajyo santa sukhakāri re.
Jyā re’ chhe sadā sukhakāri re, varanavu dhāma te murti sambhāri re… 9
Even after deep thought, I can only write an insignificant amount. Oh santo! Bestow your mercy upon me.
The abode that Shri Hari resides in (Akshardham), I will describe that abode by remembering his murti... 9
Shri Goloka dhāma mozāra re, Aksharadhāma chhe Harinu sāra re.
Koti ravi shashi tadita anala re, temanā tejathi ati nirmala re… 10
Akshardham, among the countless Goloks, is the abode of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The luminance is a million times brighter than the brightness of the suns, moon, lightening, and fire. And this luminance is pure... 10
E chhe parama divya ati shveta re, sachchidānanda rupa-niketa re.
Jene brahmapura kahe amrutadhāma re, paramapada ādi ananta nāma re… 11
The abode is divinely white and there is a presence of ultimate bliss. It is also known as Brahmpur, Parampad and countless other names ... 11
Jene ke’ chhe brahma chidākāsha re, emā sadāya Shri Harino vāsa re.
E Shri Krushnanu Aksharadhāma re, parama pāvana purana kāma re… 12

Paramātmā Parabrahma nāma re, brahma ishvara parameshvara shyāma re.
Kahe Vishnu Vaikunthapati swāmi re, e chhe ananta nāmanā nāmi re… 14
He is also known as Parabrahma, Paramatma, Brahma, Ishwar, Parmeshvar, Shyam. Some call him by the name Vishnu, the king of Vaikunth and many other names... 14
E chhe Akshara-para Avināsha re, sarva-kartā niyantā nivāsa re.
Kāran-kāran kalā vikāsha re, antarajāmi nirguna svayam-prakāsha re… 15
He is superior to Akshar and is eternal; he is the cause and controller of all and pervades everything. He is the cause of the cause. He is all-knowing, nirgun (transcends the three gunas of maya), and self-luminant (does not depend on anyone else for his luminosity)... 15
E chhe svatantra sarvādhāra re, evā Bhakti-Dharmanā kumāra re.
Ananta koti mukta brahmarupa re, temane upāsyā yogya anupa re… 16
The son of Dharma and Bhakti is independent, yet he is the support of everyting; countless muktas offer upasana to him in a brahmarup form as he is worthy... 16
Ananta koti brahmāndani jeha re, utpatti sthiti laya kahiye teha re.
Evi lilā jeni ati sāra re, evā Dharma-kunvara kiratāra re… 17
He creates, sustains and destroys countless brahmands. Such are the divine actions of the son of Dharma... 17
Māyā purusha krutānta anādi re, pradhān-purush mahattattva ādi re.
E ādi ananta shaktidhār re, enā preraka Dharma-kumāra re… 18
The power of maya, Purush (Akshar-Purush), kal, Pradhan-Purush, Mahattattva, etc. and countless other powers are all controlled through Swaminarayan Bhagwan and he is their inspirer... 18
Ananta koti brahmāndanā jeha re, Swāmi rājādhirāja chhe teha re.
Sadā kishora murti shobhādhāma re, parama pāvana puranakāma re… 19
He is the king of kings of countless brahmands. He has a youthful kishore form which is extremely attractive; he is perfect and complete in all ways ... 19
Dekhi koti ratipati lāje re, megha navina shyāma chhabi chhāje re.
Bhakta-vatsala mahā bhayahāri re, evā Dharma-kunvara sukhakāri re… 20
His form is so beautiful that the countless kings of lust are put to shame. The son of Dharmadev removes all fears from his devotees and rescues his devotees from fear... 20
